She's seven. It's official. The party to mark the milestone has come and gone in a blur. There were leis, sea shells, puffer fish, and Hawaiian Punch to make the event as Hawaiian as possible. I even broke out the cake tools to make her a fun Hawaiian themed cake, complete with waterfall.

There was fun for everyone and Madison was surrounded with great friends and lots of presents. We are so thankful for so many wonderful people in our lives.

So far, I like seven. I am happy to relish in this time as long as it lasts. It's a fun age. We're past the young testing that comes with the earliest years, and we still have some time before we hit the next wave of testing and the period where parents become an embarrassment. Right now, I am "cool, fun, exciting mom." She lights up when I come into a room (even when surrounded by her friends). She's anxious to show me off to her peers. She brags about me and the things I do and can do. It's sweet and fun to be "Super Mom." I hope it lasts a very long time!

Happy birthday my beautiful, wonderful, inspirational girl. You make me so proud!
