This is really a little comical considering people accuse me of having an accent since I've lived in Nashville. If I'm not being accused of having a Southern accent by my old friends in Miami, I'm being accused of a Yankee accent by the true southerners in Tennessee. This confirms, semi-officially, that I do not have an accent. I think my favorite part is where it says "For all we know you could be from Florida!" HA!
What American accent do you have? Your Result: The Midland "You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio. | |

WooHoo! Floridians unite! That's exactly what I scored when I took it.

You may think you speak "Standard English straight out of the dictionary" but when you step away from the Great Lakes you get asked annoying questions like "Are you from Wisconsin?" or "Are you from Chicago?" Chances are you call carbonated drinks "pop."
Ha! Isn't that funny? It's like, I'm so from Michigan! That really makes me wonder how you Floridians are pronouncing things that would be so different from what I answered. Because the way I answered is the right way. Hee Hee Hee!!!
There were a few questions that I was iffy on. Sometimes I pronounce something a certain way, other times I don't. I must be in the middle of a shift. So I took the test one way, and then another- giving both of my tendencies equal chances, and I scored "Midland" once, and "The West" another.
Hey there...I hope you are doing well...haven't 'heard' from you in a while.
